- important links within Key Posts listed to the right are also listed beside the link to the key post. They are shown in square brackets. The links for the Free Downloadable Materials have been categorized into two groups: general and nutrition. The links for the Free Downloadable Brochures/Flyers/Pamphlets have been categorized into two groups as well: specific and collections.
- The previous groupings to the right, Link Collections and Blogs have been combined into a single group, Links, which includes one line which lists several prostate cancer blogs, one line which lists several link collections and a third new line for mega sites which are particularly important or comprehensive sites. The PCRI site is particularly good at going to the next level of detail beyond where other patient oriented sites go, Yananow has a unique set of several hundred case histories as well as other useful material and the Phoenix5 site has not been updated for several years yet it has so much useful material it has been included anyways.
- The bullets for the Key Posts are now white or black with the black representing highly accessed Key Posts. Previously a star after the key post was used but the star got lost among all the text and was hard to see. Note that this is based on which posts have been viewed the most. No correction has been made to take into account how long each post has existed -- older posts would have an advantage over newer posts in terms of number of accesses.
The following changes have been made to the indicated individual posts:
- added to Community Resources post, links to these support groups:
- Added to the Case Histories post:
- A collection of case histories at Phoenix5journal includes 11 case histories of men as well as 11 from the woman's viewpoint and 6 of celebrities.
- Ken Malik case history in Watchful Waiting section.
- Kenn Fights Cancer in surgery section.
- Joe C account in surgery section.
- Doug Scott regarding his surgery and subsequent radiation and artificial sphincter experience in the surgery section.
- Jim H. of California has a set of blog entries on his experience with surgery and recovery.
- Added the Biomarkers label to the PSADT post.
- In Free Downloadable Materials the 2003 Know Your Options document is now listed as an older version of the more recent 2005 NCI treatment choice document rather than giving it its own point.
- The discussion of patient materials in Fagerlin et al was expanded and moved to its own post rather than being part of the Free Downloadable Materials post.
- In Questions to the Ask the Doctor post, these questions from Malecare were added.
- In the Urinary Incontinence post material was added about the sling including [Urology Times, 2006/12/01], this comment and [PMID: 17382743].
- In RP vs LRP vs RLRP - Part 1 the high rate of positive margins in patients with low volume prostates in laparascopic surgery, but not in open surgery is pointed out based on recent observations of Toujier.
