Definition of Palpable
CancerWeb defines palpable as "perceptible to touch". That would include feeling nodules or havnig a general feeling of hardness (also referred to as induration). Note that a local non-palpable prostate tumor on a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) would would be categorized as stage T1 whereas a local palpable tumour on a DRE would be categorized as stage T2.
